Pricing
What things cost
Fixed prices for defined pieces of work, so you know the number before you commit. Anything outside these shapes gets a written scope instead of an hourly rate.

Questions
Before you ask
How is a commission priced?
By the piece, not by the hour. You describe the work, we send a written scope with a fixed figure and a delivery date, and that figure does not move unless the brief does.
How many revisions are included?
Two full rounds on every design commission, plus any correction needed because we misread the science — those are never counted.
Who owns the result?
You do, outright, including the editable source file. We ask permission before showing anything in our portfolio and never assume it.
Is there an academic rate?
Yes. Students and researchers without grant funding should say so when they write in; we would rather do the work than lose it to a price list.

New issues, new tools, new openings
One email when an issue goes out, a course opens or a deadline is close. No more than that, and nothing passed on to anyone else.
Or create a free account — it opens the full magazine and keeps your downloads in one place.
